Our Story

NQ Exhibitions was established in 1985 when Don Neate created the first exhibition panels for the Cairns Show. Don could see an emerging market and steadily grew the company’s stock to match his prediction of growth. Don’s vision was carried on after the business was sold to his daughter Donna and her husband Peter Anderson in 1996.  They went on to acquire the largest range of exhibition hire equipment in Tropical North Queensland. This coincided with the completion of stage one of the Cairns Convention Centre which saw the solidification of the exhibition and conference industry in northern Australia.

In 2014, Beth Anderson and her partner Patrick Williams realised their dreams of owning a company and took over the family business heralding the dawn of a new era. A dynamic couple, Beth and Patrick have solid experience with a combined work history of 13 years in the business prior to taking ownership.

What We  Do

We love exhibitions. It’s what we do.

We deliver hire services and the supply of exhibition shell scheme and exhibitor furniture for conferences and tradeshows. We have been involved in the creation and delivery of product launches, economic summits, pop-up shops, government forums, product based training and national marketing initiatives.

Nestled between two World Heritage areas, The Great Barrier Reef and The Wet Tropics Daintree Rainforest, NQ Exhibitions have environmentally sustainable practices and carbon reduction programs to ensure that your conference impact is as minimal as possible. We employ staff from within the region and promote regional economic growth and sustainability.

We love to get excited about our clients’ ideas and we love to engage, innovate and design. We understand an event manager’s need for simplicity, quality and consistency. We believe in one point of contact throughout an exhibition as this is what makes our relationships with our clients more meaningful and memorable.
